Sports betting glossary
Here we have a glossary with the main expressions used in the world of sports betting so that you have no doubts when making your bets.
Action
Having action means that a bet is going to win or lose. In baseball, for example, action means that the bet is valid even if the starting pitchers are changed.
Bet
Making a bet means betting money on a result of a specific event.
Betting volume
The total value of money the bookmaker receives for an event.
Voided Bet
Also known as null, it means void or invalid bet. This occurs when there is no defined result and the game is canceled. Your staked money is refunded to your account.
Parlay
A simple bet that relates to at least two individual bets, which can be of different or same sports and championships. However, there is a dependency between them, that is, when you place a parlay, all selections must be winners for your bet to be considered as won. If you do not win any of the selections, the entire parlay is lost.
Bets in the first half
Bets made only in the first half of a football or basketball game (including the extension time).
Bets on the second half
Bets made only in the second half of a game of football or basketball. The score from the half time to the end of the game is used to settle bets (including the extension time).
Exotic Bets
Any bets that are not simple or combined (for example teaser, conditional, inverse or system bets) are considered exotic.
Future bets
Betting on the outcome of a future event. Future bets are generally placed on major events such as the FIFA World Cup.
System bets
A system is a quick and easy way to create multiple combination bets, or parlays, at the same time. You can select between three or eight bet lines and combine two to six teams. The advantage is that you need to have just one winning combination to receive your money throughout the system (round robin).
Simple bet
A bet on the result of an event or game.
Teaser bet
Combination of 2 to 10 American football or basketball bets in which you adjust the betting line or the total in your favor, in exchange for a lower payment. To win you need to win all the bets made.
Arbitration (betting technique)
To distribute the stakes in different betting houses and betting only on houses with the best odds.
Bonus
Advantage granted in a certain bet or promotion.
House
The place where bets are placed.
Double chance
A double chance bet is when with just one bet you have two possible outcomes. In this case, the odds are lower but the chances of winning are higher.
Odd
The value that the house will pay you in the bet.
Coupon
The coupon is located on the right side of the Sports area and is where the player can check their bets and enter the value to bet.

Dnb / Draw no bet

Draw (push)
When a player or team leaves the game before it ends, the bet amount can be fully refunded.
In addition to that, a tie is considered when:
- The final score of the event is a tie.
- The adjustment of the points creates a tie (in the event that your bet is handicap and its value is an integer).
- The final combined score is equal to the specified total (in the event that your bet is more than / less than a whole number).

Correlated line
Two linked betting options, where the outcome of one can influence the outcome of the other. Due to this probability, correlated lines cannot be included together in a combined type bet. In baseball, the running lines and totals always correlate. In soccer and basketball, where the correlated lines are less frequent, we identified the lines that have a blue box. Two or more lines surrounded by this blue box (and therefore correlated) cannot be included in the same type of combined bet.
