About Sam Houston Race Park Racetrack
The Sam Houston racetrack is located in beautiful northwestern Houston, Texas. The facility has one of the best racetrack surfaces in the nation and includes both a 1-mile dirt track and a 7/8-mile turf track. The park features three formal dining facilities, a general concession, several luxury suites with trackside views, a heated 200,000-square-foot grandstand and a 30,000-square-foot pavilion.
For its ongoing dedication to quarterhorse racing, Sam Houston Park was awarded the prestigious MBNA America Challenge Championships, which ran on Nov. 6, 2004. The MBNA attracted the finest quarterhorses from across the nation to compete for sizable purses and awards.
