About The Sprint

The 6-furlong, $2 million Breeders' CupĀ® Sprint for three-year-olds and up is a race known for speed. In 2008 only 9 thoroughbreds entered and Street Boss was the favorite over defending champion Midnight Lute and Fatal Bullet. So guess what? Midnight Lute was the slowest getting out of the gate and found a burst of speed into the stretch to pass every other horse in its tracks and finished first. Fatal Bullet took second and Street Boss ended up in third.
